We have to understand that these dogs are highly valuable. And that these people appreciate all what these dogs do for the people / army. They are out there saving lives every day and they LOVE what they do. They willing work and aim to please. It's not like they are forcing a dog to go back and serve instead of giving him retirement. They are giving him back but he loves to do.
They are incredible animals. They are truly inspiring. And they are true heroes.
